 Science.
 Community Fund.
Empowering  Students.

The Science Community Fund (SCF) is a $3000 fund held by the Office of the Dean of Science and allocated to Science Student Societies by the Carleton Science Student Society. This fund is for Departmental Societies only and each Society is allocated a maximum of $300 worth of funding. You can apply more than once, but it cannot exceed the $300 total.

Our objective is to support student-run events or projects that grow the science community at Carleton (i.e. purchasing a license or software for an online platform) . Events and projects that involve more than one Science Society or are intended for a broader audience than the department of the hosting Society (i.e. Faculty of Science or all Carleton students) are encouraged. Departmental Societies may pool their funding, for example, two groups may apply jointly up to $600.

We are now accepting applications for the 2023 Winter semester. We advise that you apply earlier than 14 days before the date you need the funding. However, this form MUST be submitted a minimum 14 days prior to when the funding is needed, so then we can ensure all funds will arrive on time.  Once you send your application, please give us 7 days to respond with a decision (accepted or declined).

Applications will be open till 11:59pm on March 6th.
