We are here to serve you!
Established in January of 2011, Carleton's Science Society represents every student in the Faculty of Science. Students are automatically enrolled as a member of the society and have the opportunity to participate in meetings, discussions, and run for executive or representative positions.
Land Acknowledgement
It is important to recognize that the Carleton University campus that we call home is located on traditional, unceded territories of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.

We recognize the Algonquin peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which we learn & study. We want to encourage all of our peers to acknowledge the First Peoples, whose traditional territory we rely so heavily on. Acknowledging these truths shows recognition of, and respect for, the host nation, the Omàmiwininìwag ("the Algonquin peoples" in the Algonquin language).

As students in the Faculty of Science, we share the desire for truthfulness and discovery! We encourage you to reach out to local Indigenous communities to learn about the rich, deep-rooted histories of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
