October is Autism Awareness Month in Canada, let us educate ourselves about autism and about people living with autism.
October’s CSSS Advocacy Readings are: “Real Stories from People living with Autism Spectrum Disorder” and “Autism Spectrum Disorder Fact Sheet”
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that is present at birth. In 2018, 1 in 66 Canadian children and youth were diagnosed with autism*. Autism is a spectrum disorder that could affect anyone. If you have met ONE person living with autism, you have only met ONE person living with autism.
In honour of our peers, October has been set aside as autism awareness month in Canada. Let us educate ourselves about autism and about people living with autism!
