How to Have a [Successful] Conversation With [Insert Professor’s Name]

Remember that professors are there to help you! They want to see you succeed. Asking questions is a critical aspect of learning.

Talking to professors is always encouraged in university. After all, doing so can help you learn something new, receive recommendations, and help clear the air. Despite the fact that all students are told they can talk to their professors, few can find the courage to do so. Here are a few tips that will make the communication process way easier:

  1. Remember their preferred way of communication.

  2. Go to their office hours. If you can't schedule an appointment.

  3. Understand the purpose of your visit and come prepared.

  4. Introduce yourself!

Remember that professors are there to help you! They want to see you succeed. Asking questions is a critical aspect of learning.
